The Fortune Auto 500 Series Coilover is a very advanced coilover built with true performance in mind. We will go over the features of these performance coilovers. All of these coilovers are built in house at the VA fortune auto facility. The 500 series comes with synthetic shock oil , upgradability to a two way canister (reservoir), digressive piston technology, 24 step adjustable damper settings, custom built and dyno tested, mono-tube damper design with high pressure nitrogen, fully rebuildable and revalaveable and these come with a 5 Year Warranty!

Digressive Piston Technology:  Allows for stiff low-speed compression/rebound force. This gives more control of driver inputs such as roll, dive, and squat. However, at fast stroke speeds (i.e. high speed bumps) the suspension becomes supple in response to bumps and irregularities in the road. Meaning these coilovers adapt to road conditions.

Upgrade to 2-way (external reservoir):  The ability to upgrade to 2-Way remote canisters at any time ensures that your investment is a sound one. Update your shocks without the need of investing into a complete new coilover system: simply send your 500 series shocks into our service center for the modular 2-Way upgrade. All 500 series dampers are fully rebuildable, serviceable, and can be custom valved at any time.

500 Upgraded Series Damper Shaft Seals: 500 series damper shaft seals have 40% less drag than previous models. This provides for more efficiency and for superior control of driver inputs. Our new seals are made of a specially formulated Buna rubber compound that provides a great balance between reliability and performance! Since the shaft seal is the most important seal on the shock, a stronger seal will greatly improve quality and performance.

Ultra Precise Shim Stacks: Shims are deflection disks that cover up the port holes on a piston. They regulate the fluid flow which generates the force found in a damper. "Valving" or "re-valving" of a shock is accomplished by using a variety of shims that will ultimately provide enough resistance and damping ability for a particular application. Minute differences in the shims' diameter and thickness are very critical; just a thousandths of an inch of variation in the dimensions can change a damper's force profile up to + or - 25%. The shims' consistency is crucial in matching shock absorbers to one another. Generation 5 dampers utilize a high-grade shim material made of Sandvik steel, ensuring precision matched dampers. What this means is your shocks will have more equal damper rates....not all shocks are equal but this helps get them closer.

Lightweight Internal Floating Piston: The new Generation 5 Internal Floating Piston is considerably lighter and uses a low-drag teflon band that drastically reduces stiction. This allows the damper to react quicker to shock forces.

Dyno Tuned & Tested: One very important aspect of Fortune Auto's custom built coils is each one is dyno tested. They then match your shock with its closest matches. Thus giving you the most equal dampening setup. The more exact a suspension is the better it can perform and be tuned.

Custom Build Time: Each suspension is custom built to order by Fortune Auto and usually is around a 3 week turn around time. Worth the wait.
