This Crash Bar or Oil Pan Protector is built to protect the cars oil pan from when you lower the car or hit uneven road that might catch the oil pan. We have seen many 9th gen civics crack their oil pan which leaves your car completely stranded on the side of the road and having to replace the oil pan is costly in both parts and time and labor. These sit 3/4inch lower than the oil pan and will help prevent the oil pan from cracking.

Saved the motor and...
This is my second time buying this bar. Highly recommended especially if lowering your car. Object fell off the truck in from of me with no where to avoid it. Instead of buy another crash bar I would be spending considerably more money. Well worth the investment.
