10th Gen Civic 2017-2019 Civic Si Takeda Momentum Pro 5R & Dry S Cold Air Intake System
The 2017-2019 10th Generation Honda Civic Si gets the newly released Takeda Momentum Intake System. This system draws in air from the front of the car with its own built in large intake box and filter. Giving it a gain of 34% efficiency, allowing it to draw in my power and make up to 6hp and 5lb/ft of tq over the oem intake system. This mod certainly helps the car make a larger overall curve in power as shown in the dyno across almost the entire rpm range. This makes for more power from bottom to top, allowing a better feel no matter where you are and at what RPM.
The Takeda Momentum Pro 5R / Dry S intake is essential when upgrading the performance of your Civic Si. This system outflows the factory intake, while allowing the car to breathe and perform to its greatest potential. The Pro 5R filter consists of an oiled 5-layer mesh cotton gauze media for maximum performance and filtration. The Pro 5R maintains a 98.6% efficiency rating, allowing high air flow and optimal performance even when dirty.

Pro 5R VS Dry S: The 5R is oiled, the Dry S is oilless. Thats the only difference. Between which is a better choice its dependant on you. Oiled = more maintenance but better filtering, Dry or oil-less = less maintenance and less filtering quality. The oiled is 5 layer, the oil-less is 3.
Unique One-Piece High Quality Housing W/ Sight Window:
A custom CAD designed roto-molded housing made from heat soak resistant material eliminates the use of multiple components and ensures the coolest air intake charge available. A large clear sight window allows for filter inspection without removal of the air box. The roto-molded housing is made out of black cross-linked polyethylene. (US PAT 9440175)

This system uses a high quality plastic CAD designed, dyno-tuned, roto-molded intake tube to achieve maximum power gains while maintaining a perfect fit.

This intake system utilizes a oil-free, large, 7-1/2" tall conical inverted top 360 degree radial flow performance air filter with 3-layers of progressive finer porosity synthetic media air filter, providing maximum convenience with excellent efficiency.

All clamps and hardware are included for hassle-free installation. This is a direct bolt-on kit that requires no cutting or drilling on factory parts.

Super clean and easy install
The Intake is just well thought out, covered and sucks in cold air exactly from the part of the car the cold is coming in. The power gains were pretty high on this one, really got a good feel and sound to it. Install was easy, love how it looks in the engine bay. I suggest honestly going with the oiled, it performs better. At a cost of having to maintain it, which you would want to because thats how air filters work. Never understood the whole dry filter thing, but to each their own.
