Mishimoto High Performance Intake system for the Honda Civic 17-18+ Type-R model. This intake system is built to be a little different in its design and the way it pulls in air. It uses a system similiar to the oem system, with an eclosed high performance air filter that still draws its cooler air from the oem intake path. Also semi known as an icebox, which helps prevent hot engine temps from getting into the intake path which can increase IAT's (intake air temp). Rather than just having an open filter system inside the engine bay and using the existing ram air / cold air port of the Type-R. This allows the engine to injest the maximum amount of cool air thats atmospherically available. Colder air = more dense so this helps increase power by increasing the amount of oxygen it can consume. Its quite a huge impact and that is not left out of the picture in this intake setup. The other good part about this intake setup is its not hanging out out of the car so it wont easily injest water which can cause the dreaded hydrolock (where the motor pretty much destroys itself due to taking in water, since water cant compress easily). From there they have added an improved and smooth intake pipe made from silicone to increase capacity and power. The airbox is powder coated black and looks nearly oem like under the hood, but still has this almost custom purposeful and clean look to it. They also use a precision adjust CNC Maf housing for better flow in that arena. This intake doesnt require a tune but we are sure you can get more from it with one. 

Power Production on this one is rated at 16.7whp and 20.1 lb/ft tq at the wheels, while still keeping a safe air fuel ratio. This intake produces an aggressive intake note under hard acceleration and is meant to be a direct bolt on fit. Backed by a lifetime warranty, this is surely going to be a well sought after intake.
