These front rotors are a direct replacement for the original equipment (OE) discs, requiring no modifications during installation. The Girodisc rotors seamlessly bolt onto your vehicle and work perfectly with the OE calipers. Compared to the stock units weighing 24.6lbs, the Girodisc front rotors weigh approximately 21.1lbs. This reduction in rotational and unsprung weight translates to improved acceleration and more responsive suspension.

Crafted from premium materials, the central hat section of our rotor is constructed from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum sourced from the United States. The rotor itself is made using our proprietary cast iron, which is poured and meticulously machined in-house at Girodisc. Designed with racing principles in mind, the rotor features a curved vane design that functions as a centrifugal pump, actively directing cooling air through the disc.

The rotor and hat employ a floating mount system that incorporates 10 robust alloy steel drive pins. These pins, manufactured by Girodisc to our precise specifications in the USA, are cadmium plated to ensure long-lasting corrosion resistance. These pins not only bear the braking forces but also maintain the necessary axial and radial float between the hat and disc. Class 12.9 cap screws with hardened washers secure the pins. To eliminate noise issues when cold, anti-noise spring washers are utilized on the rotor side of the pins. This design allows the rotor to expand with heat while preventing the rattling associated with floating rotors. The float also enables the rotor to center itself between the brake pads.

Once the Girodisc system is installed, replacing the cast iron rotor is a straightforward process when required.
